I’d like to keep posts light and fun, so I’m sharing one of my favorite creative outlets that makes me smile – making a wreath! I love the sweet, organic touch of a nice wreath within my home. It makes me happy, and just feel good about my space. The other day, I just made one at home – and you can too. Step Into My office And Pull Up A Seat

The kitchen. Yes, I call it my office.  It’s where I take care of business. Not only is it a gathering space, and where I prep all meals and snacks; it’s where I do all the kid’s paperwork, take calls, and reply to texts and emails. I do it all right up at the kitchen island.  I have things organized a certain way and I manage my household from this space most days.  To sum things up, I spend an insane amount of time in the kitchen.  And sometimes I just need a little change now and then to keep things fresh! My well loved wooden kitchen island stools had…

    Bohemian Rhapsody

No, I’m not talking about the song by Queen…I’m talking about this whimsical boho wall tapestry.  I’ve been seeing so many of these cute yarn wall hangings all over home & style blogs, and I’ve been wanting one for my own home. I mean, how cute are these for perhaps a reading nook, a kid’s room, an entryway, your own quiet space, or even a vacation home? If you know me, you know I’m a big fan of wall signs. I have them sprinkled all throughout my home. I find them to be inspirational and lighthearted. I feel they add a little bit of fun and personality to any space. Not only that, but so many of them are quite atheistically pleasing – whether it’s the font size, the frame, the colors – it can all really tie a space together so well! Through the years, I’ve not only purchased several wall signs, but I’ve also made my own. The good news is you don’t have to spend a fortune either way. Read on to learn about…

It’s Time We Had A Little Chat About The Bees And The Bees

Our home is an adorable 1950’s cape style house with so much character. When we first moved in, it totally needed work. We cosmetically touched up every room, but we took it up a notch with first floor bathroom – it needed a much bigger facelift. We kept the original black and white tile on the floor, but pretty much redid every else. We added new fixtures, beadboard and painted the walls a taupe color. I chose taupe because it was safe for me and I felt it complimented many other colors. Years went by and I grew tired of the wall color, as we all do. Then I became obsessed…

A Space of Your Very Own

The alarm goes off, a kid or two (or three) are already in your bed.  You get up, make coffee, dreaming of sipping it quietly by yourself.  Everyone needs you right away, you have your own job and day to get ready for, you have responsibilities, you have, well…LIFE.  At some point during the day, ya just need your own little space to call your own, to feel calm, to re-center yourself and organize your thoughts.  A space to either just sit for 5 minutes and close your eyes; or maybe even take a little bit longer to read or write or have a cup of tea.  A space to…
