    Wreaths that SLEIGH all day.

Hello friends! You literally just finished your Thanksgiving meal, and the holiday season is now in full swing. And why not? I always feel there is so much positivity and great memories that surround the holidays. So I say embrace it! In case you haven’t noticed, I have a little obsession with wreathing. Holiday wreaths have always been one of my favorite Christmas decorations ever since I was a little girl. There are so many looks and styles out there, you can really get creative with it all. They can be whimsical or traditional, lavish or modest. I’ve always been inspired by these minimalist hoop wreaths, and think they are…

One If By Land, Two If By Sea…

…and as many as you’d like with this fun family craft! I know after coming out of the pandemic it might feel like all home activities have been exhausted at this point. But! Here is one more for you that combines both indoor and outdoor fun for you and the kids this holiday season. These homemade winter lanterns are fun and interesting to make, yes, even for my middle schooler. After they were finished, we got to take them outdoors for a little twilight winter exploration.  I initially got this idea from a homeschool blog I follow, and to be honest I couldn’t wait to try it myself with my…

    It’s Always Birthday Season!

Play Ball! If you have a son or a daughter who is really into sports, then this post is for you! My oldest son adores all sports, so naturally we decided to have a sports themed party for his 7th Birthday, right here in our home.  I enjoy having parties here at our house, and creating some fun memories.  When I was growing up, we always had our birthday parties at home, so I like to try and keep that tradition going for my kids as well. Hosting a kids birthday party definitely takes a lot more prep work and planning, but this particular theme is certainly something you can…

    Dino-mite!

If you have a little one who is all about dinosaurs, then keep reading!  This is a fun costume project you can create right at home…and it will not disappoint! I made this T-Rex mask several years for my oldest son’s Halloween costume.  He absolutely adored dinosaurs at the time.  I actually made this mask in just one weekend, working on it bit by bit.  My husband was away at the time, I had an infant, and two other little ones at home with me.  So if I can do this with all that going on, you can definitely do this as well, and it will probably look even better!…

    Kindness Really Does Rock

I can’t think of a better creative project to do with kids that has such a positive and inspiring message!  I first learned about kindness rocks about two years ago from my neighbor who was visiting Cape Cod over the summer.  He and his family had found some beautifully painted rocks on a beach in Truro, MA, and were so moved by the encouraging message written on them. It turns out these rocks have been making the rounds across Cape Cod for a little while now.  They are part of The Kindness Rocks Project – which believes “one message at just the right time can change your entire day, outlook, life…” There’s…
